Few new releases this year have carried the weight and vulnerability that King Melik’s Chamber of Emotions brings. As the title suggests, this is a project filled with unfiltered introspection and melodic self-healing.

The first track, “Midas,” is heavy with symbolism and ambition. It’s not just about wealth—it’s about knowing your worth. “What Else?” is confrontational but thoughtful, setting the stage for a journey that balances hurt with hope.
“Nothing to You” plays like a journal entry, complete with regrets and reflections. “Up My Savage” marks the shift into survival mode, highlighting how trauma can manifest as toughness. The production throughout is top-notch—moody, textured, and complementary.
“Back inna Groove” breaks the darkness with its feel-good bounce, while “Heart Throberrrr” presents one of the most melodic moments on the EP. “We’re Not Friends” then lands the emotional knockout, tying the project together with painful but necessary honesty.
King Melik has not just released music—he’s delivered an emotional map. Chamber of Emotions is hip-hop with heart and intellect.
