M-Dot links with singer Alexander Padei for the vibrant “HoopHop” prod. by the legendary Erick Sermon

Acclaimed Boston MC/Producer M-Dot connects with the EPMD/Def Squad legend Erick Sermon for “HoopHop,” an upbeat funk/soul-sampled banger, the likes of which only the Green Eyed Bandit could provide. On the track, M-Dot chronicles an origin story of how a college basketball scholarship was the catalyst to him ironically furthering his growth as an emcee. He goes on to explain how in serendipitous fashion his pursuit of basketball led to him meeting his rap crew EMS, forging a lifelong brotherhood that still exists today. The chorus is provided by fellow Boston-Bred and currently Miami based singer Alexander Padei who brings the entire record together with a paramountly catchy hook.

The single is taken from the upcoming and long-awaited sequel “egO anD The eneMy 2: A Dissolute Paradise” dropping 4/21 on Bandcamp (Digital Download + Collector’s Edition Splash Colored Vinyls) and then hitting streaming services on 5/5.
