July 18, 2025 (Los Angeles, CA) — Today, Raekwon, a founding member of the iconic Hip Hop collective Wu-Tang Clan, unveils his eighth studio album, The Emperor’s New Clothes – out now via Mass Appeal. Listen HERE. The prodigiously gifted emcee continues to push boundaries and redefine the mafioso rap scene with his unparalleled style. Spanning 17 tracks, the album features a star-studded lineup of collaborators, including fellow Wu-Tang members Ghostface Killah, Method Man, and Inspectah Deck, as well as Nas, Conway The Machine, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, and vocalists Stacy Barthe and Marsha Ambrosius.
Ahead of The Emperor’s New Clothes, Raekwon took to social media to express gratitude towards his fans for their support. Alongside the new album, he also delivered a horror-movie inspired music video for the gritty anthem “Bear Hill.” In the video, Raekwon unleashes his full potential and embraces a beast mode mentality, wreaking havoc wherever he goes – Watch HERE.
Setting the stage for a massive fourth quarter, the new album marks Raekwon’s first solo outing since 2017’s The Wild. He has enlisted a star-studded team of longtime collaborators for the release of The Emperor’s New Clothes, including Swizz Beatz, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Nottz, and many more. Raekwon’s magnum opus is the latest installment of Mass Appeal’s Legend Has It series, which will feature seven new albums from seven different hip-hop icons.
Elsewhere, the legendary emcee is currently on tour as part of the ‘Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber’ tour alongside Run The Jewels. The 27-city trek has made landfall in major markets across North America before wrapping up tonight in Philadelphia.
