Big Dese & Mike Martinez drop “Meteor” & No Respect 2 LP

Boston underground rhyme heavyweight, Big Dese gets No Respect.  The theme is so prevalent in his life that he and his Production cohort, Mike Martinez cooked up the No Respect 2 LP, (out now!).  First single “Meteor” echoes this sentiment with lyrics such as “Nothing is an easy chore, I need a Puerto Rican Whore, when I’m at my job sometimes, hope we get hit by a meteor.”

Taking its title and interludes from the late/great stand-up icon, Rodney Dangerfield the album is a lot of dark comedy, unfiltered opinions and disrespectful bars over a variety of musical moods from a creator inspired by 90’s sample-based boom-bap.  As Dese relates “I think with ‘Meteor’ and most of the album is an audio diary.  There is a lot of self-depreciation, but at the same time, it’s probably very relatable to creatives who are stuck in a career that is far from their dream job. I’m generally a happy guy when I’m home from work with my kids but a Monday morning on the jobsite in the rain can inspire some tracks like this.”

No Respect 2 is out now via digital platforms and the duo revealed that they currently have three projects cued up and ready to go in the near future as well.
