NEW YORK, NY – September 29, 2025: Red Bull Batalla, the world’s largest Spanish-language freestyle competition, crowned Reverse as the new 2025 USA National Champion this past Friday night. The Cuban MC made history, becoming the first-ever 3x USA National Champion, after defeating the Fort Lauderdale native, Nico B in a thrilling final round.
The highly anticipated event took place at Brooklyn Steel, a former steel factory turned live music venue, and featured an all-star lineup, including three former U.S. champions. The stacked MC card made this one of the most competitive battle events in the history of Red Bull Batalla’s U.S. circuit.
A sold-out crowd packed into Brooklyn Steel on Friday night to witness a clash of freestyle titans, joining thousands of fans who livestreamed the action from around the globe. The night culminated in a final round for the ages between Reverse and Nico B. This wasn’t the first time the South Florida MCs faced off in a National Final. They previously met at the 2023 event in Dallas, where Reverse claimed victory in the semifinals. The newly crowned champ brought that same grit, stage presence, and razor-sharp bars to this year’s Chicago qualifier, carrying that momentum into Friday’s electrifying showdown. “Freestyle isn’t dead, it’s just very far removed from rap,” said Reverse after winning his historic 3rd USA national title.
The epic night was hosted by none other than Racso White Lion and Sayonara, with the winners of each battle handpicked by a panel of judges including freestyle icon and 2007 World Final runner-up Jay-Co, Red Bull Batalla veteran and first-ever Puerto Rican MC to reach a World Final Tito Yang, and 2024 USA National Final runner-up Freites. Soon after the winning MC was crowned, rising star and rap phenom Lismar, closed the night with a special performance. 2025-26 RED BULL BATALLA WORLD FINAL – SANTIAGO, CHILE
In celebration of the competition’s 20th anniversary, Red Bull is hosting Nueva Historia, a landmark event honoring two decades of freestyle excellence. Following this historic celebration, the next Red Bull Batalla World Final will take place in April 2026 at the iconic Movistar Arena. Last season, Spanish MC Chuty secured the World Championship title, achieving back-to-back victories and doing so on home soil, with the 2024 World Final held at a sold-out WiZink Center in Madrid. In Chile, the world’s top 16 MCs will converge to battle for the prestigious Red Bull Batalla international crown. Reverse will be joining the likes of Chuty, who will be looking to achieve a three-peat, Chilean first-spitter El Menor who came in at third place, and many more.
