Cali producer Preed One links with Mexico’s Paranoize for some Spanish bars on “El Mal De Ojo” (The Evil Eye)

Nuevo Leon, Mexico artist Paranoize connects with Cali producer Preed One on their first official single titled “El Mal De Ojo.” The song is a spanish banger based on the old superstition of “The Evil Eye.” It was originally based on envy and one could become cursed or bewitched through a certain look or sound of the voice.

The superstition of “El mal de Ojo” aka ‘The Evil Eye’, or “k’ak’as ichi'” in Maya, is believed throughout Mexico, however, each region has its own talismans, causes and cures. The idea of the “evil eye” is not unique to Mexico and proof of these superstitions goes back over a thousand years, specifically by the philosopher, Plato, in Athens, Greece.
