D.C.-based emcee/producer Mic Mountain released his newest album ‘Mas Piragua’ during Hispanic Heritage Month. The album is a follow-up to his critically acclaimed ‘Piragua’ album.
The album is filled with infectious blends of classic Hip Hop with Latin-influenced tones, along with fresh breakbeats. Although the album is self-produced, the Afro-Latino artist recruited legendary producer Domingo (Big Pun) and DJ Erex.
Mic depicts growing up as a multi-cultural teen trying to understand, embrace, and love his diversity. Through his lyrical canvas, he expresses multiple challenges during a time where society didn’t embrace or accept different cultures. Mic’s potent wordplay and intense lyricism entice audiences in, as does his raw emotion. His display of skillfully crafted production underscores his heritage and deep-rooted bond with Hip Hop.
