Los Angeles’ own Dios Negasi steps back into music with “Only God Can Save You.” The new single (co-released by Chamber Music & Reagan Era) is a dusted slap of boom-bap grit where Dios trades vocals with Drumwork Music boss Conway The Machine (with added power from Skrillz Dior on the hook). The result is exemplary bar-work and a head-nodder.

“Only God Can Save You” is the first leak from Dios Negasi’s Black Violin 2 album (to drop at the end of February). This will follow last year’s drop of the first edition which also featured appearances from RJ Payne as well as the full Reagan Era crew. The artist has hinted that there are some other notable features on the forthcoming album.
A self-contained army, Dios Negasi is a prolific producer and emcee. He is also the lynchpin for eight-man L.A. crew Reagan Era Records which is composed of all rhyme-vets who have been putting in work in various other projects from way back.
