Rochester, NY beat-smith Kidd Called Quest keeps up his impressive output of quality boom-bap. Enlisting up-and-coming emcees from his city, new single / video “Day By Day” features verses by Blessit Nafay, Brogawd & Paris Polo. Over a spaced-out-soul soundscape, the emcees reflect on everyday adversity (video shot by @Munchiepresents).
Explicit and clean versions of the track are now available for purchase via Bandcamp (link below). Though barely into 2024 “Day By Day” is the third separate drop from Kidd Called Quest this year. He recently dropped a new single “Native Vibes” featuring another Rochester emcee Indian Boy as well as a new album for his duo project Young Black And Gifted (which also includes emcee Azariah).
