Boston rhyme phenom M-Dot connects with soulful Detroit beatsmith Apollo Brown for “Done”

One of Boston’s best and most consistent emcees, M-Dot, follows-up his first “egO 2” single, the Pete Rock produced gem The Atonement” with a lesson in Hip-Hop 101 on “Done. The Beantown representative treats us to a verbal dissertation about the “new era” of Hip-Hop over soulful production from acclaimed Detroit producer Apollo Brown. He does so without sounding preachy, but instead straight forward lyrics about not trading away your artistic integrity for material possessions or short term fame. The result is one of the best songs of 2022.

“Done” will be found on the forthcoming album “egO anD The eneMy 2” (Date TBA) and is currently available on Limited Edition ’12 Inch. The Apollo Brown/Pete Rock ’12 Inch Vinyl is Available Now only on Bandcamp! Digital also available.
