Canada-based emcee Righteous releases visuals for his single “What Is.” The track features Ruste Juxx and DJ Mercilless and serves as the first single from his latest project titled ‘and the DEVIL is.’
The video begins with DJ Mercilless going in with cuts and scratches while Righteous is digging in the crates. He defines the role of an emcee and the role of a DJ through witty punchlines and wordplay. What is an emcee if he can’t rap, what is a DJ if he can’t scratch, resonates as do the verses from both Righteous and Ruste Juxx, who both show off their talents while paying respect to authentic Hip Hop and the culture, without sounding dated.
