Buckle up and get ready to take a trip with Dillon & Batsauce in their new lyric video, “Ready on the Left,” that features avant-garde rap legend Kool Keith.
The video centers on what appears to be vintage found footage of Chevrolet Bonaventure marketing materials, and yes, it’s every bit as weird as you could imagine that would be. It was all put together by both Dillon and Batsauce, who played into the aesthetic of the cover art for their upcoming album, What Have We Done.
But it’s also a lyric video, which means we can get closer to unpacking the wordplay used by Dillon and his esteemed guest, Kool Keith. Or you can just vibe along with the track and pick up on some of the slick lines here and there, like Keith rocking a Knicks jersey in a limo and Dillon wanting to indulge in his preferred vices.
