For the latest entry in his Zodiac-themed series of singles, Wildcard reveals the stunningly shot new video for “Cancer Circle.” It’s a lyrically chilling track that features the Tacoma-based emcee BARZ! as well as hard-hitting production from frequent collaborator C-Lance.
The video centers on a character portrayed by actress Victoria James, who through raw emotions and superb acting brings her own element to the piece. Although there’s a mystery swirling at the heart of the narrative here, it’s clear that both her and Wildcard are trying to escape something from their past lives that’s haunting them. As you may imagine, this leads to a thrilling conclusion, but we won’t spoil it for you.
The video was directed by Wildcard himself, shot by longtime collaborator Bryan “Goose” Gosline, and edited by Travis Berry. Their shared vision blends the surreal and the all-too-real, which makes the visuals that much more engaging, especially with the addition of stunt coordinator and actor Alex Terzieff.
