A new hip-hop collective is quietly taking shape under the name Jazz Akrobatiks, bringing together some of the most respected names in underground and classic hip-hop. The group unites MC’s Awon, Beneficence, and the legendary Doodlebug of the Grammy-winning hip-hop group Digable Planets, backed by the unmistakable sound of UK producer duo Jazz Spastiks.
Known for their warm, jazz-infused boom bap aesthetic, Jazz Spastiks provide the sonic foundation – dusty drums, soulful samples, and head-nodding grooves – perfectly complementing the sharp lyricism, experience, and individuality of three seasoned voices on the mic. The result is a project rooted in tradition yet alive with fresh energy.
