Argentinian paisanos / emcee duo Los Chicos Criollos have returned with a new single this morning. “Verdadero Argentinos” (which literally translates to “true Argentinians”) according to the group’s statement “Verdadero Argentinos pays homage to Argentina’s original Indigenous peoples, whose cultures, histories, and existence were systematically erased, silenced, and marginalized through centuries of colonization and state violence.”

“Verdadero Argentinos” will also appear on Merca Musica the forthcoming Los Chicos Criollos LP to drop on November 10th (via Walking With Enoch Music). The entire album is produced by frequent collaborator RUEN and has already yielded two singles with accompanying music videos (links below)

With frequent references to their shared Argentinian roots the album title Merca Musica translates roughly to the slang title of dope music. As Kingdom Kome states “we are trafficking this pure uncut and unfiltered product, which is our music, and we feel the whole concept just got elevated with RUEN’s contributions.”
