World’s Largest Independent Hip-Hop Festival

Returns to Chicagoland’s SeatGeek Stadium on June 12-14, 2026

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: With just 60 days to go until festival weekend, organizers behind The Summer Smash have officially unveiled the 2026 music lineup for the festival’s highly anticipated return to SeatGeek Stadium near Chicago on June 12–14.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. CT via TheSummerSmash.com, including GA, GA+, VIP, Diamond, and other ticketing options.

Now entering its eighth year, The Summer Smash continues to reign as the world’s largest independently owned hip-hop music festival, uniting global superstars, hometown icons, breakout newcomers, and the next wave of culture-shifting artists for one unforgettable three-day celebration of music and culture.

Founded by a pair of Chicago-born organizations – Midwest’s leading independent concert promoter SPKRBX and next-gen media powerhouse Lyrical Lemonade – the outdoor music festival has evolved into one of the music industry’s defining live destinations each summer while drawing more than 100,000 total fans across the weekend from around the world to the greater Chicago area.

The 2026 edition opens on Friday, June 12, with the highly anticipated return of Lil Uzi Vert, who previously headlined The Summer Smash in 2021 and 2022, and remains one of rap’s most influential hitmakers of the last decade. Friday’s bill also features Chicago icon Chief Keef, a generational hometown force, alongside Sexyy Red, G Herbo, Lucki, Molly Santana, Lil Skies, RiFF RaFF, and more, alongside the first-ever festival performance from North West.

On Saturday, June 13, The Summer Smash broadens its genre-spanning footprint with Skrillex, the globally acclaimed producer and Grammy Award-winning DJ whose booking reflects the ever-growing crossover between rap and electronic audiences. Saturday also includes Baby Keem as a special guest, arriving on the heels of a new album release and continuing a breakout run that has established him as one of hip-hop’s most dynamic young stars. The Day 2 lineup also features a rare collaborative performance from Bladee x Yung Lean, plus ISOxo, 2hollis, Ian, Waka Flocka, and more.

The weekend closes on Sunday, June 14 with the return of Playboi Carti, who headlined The Summer Smash from 2022 through 2024 before later joining a sold-out world tour with The Weeknd. This year’s Sunday programming also includes Esdeekid, whose U.S. debut came at a SPKRBX-promoted concert earlier this year, making his Summer Smash appearance a fitting full-circle moment. Also performing on Sunday are Lil Baby, BigXthaPlug, JT, Fetty Wap, and more.

Held roughly 30 minutes from downtown Chicago in nearby Bridgeview, The Summer Smash transforms SeatGeek Stadium into a multi-stage cultural playground featuring high-energy performances across three main stages, large-scale activations, carnival attractions with a sky-high Ferris wheel for fans, and one of the Midwest’s most robust festival food experiences with some of the Midwest’s best restaurants, chefs, and hometown staples.

Drawing fans from around the world, the locally-produced event also generates a massive economic impact throughout the greater Chicagoland region each year, supporting local businesses, restaurants, and workers.

ABOUT LYRICAL LEMONADE:

Launched in 2013 by Cole Bennett, Lyrical Lemonade began with a mission to spotlight Chicago rappers who were getting zero or very little coverage elsewhere. It found a gap between what was attracting media attention and what local hip-hop heads wanted to hear, and it made that space its niche.

Since its inception, Lyrical Lemonade has worked to establish itself as one of the most influential media platforms in hip-hop. Through music videos, artist relationship content, live events, high-demand apparel, and now even real drinkable lemonade, the company has blossomed into a national success.
