Mic check check check… Justin Hunte. It’s all happening. Rapper Ar-Ab just received a four and a half decade prison sentence for organizing a massive drug ring throughout Philadelphia. Born Abdul West, the OBH kingpin, that’s Original Block Hustlaz, was convicted November 2019 of multiple charges including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and distribution of or possession with intent to distribute cocaine, crack, and methamphetamine. During his sentencing hearing this week, the judge hit West with 45 years and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine. This just the latest example of an artist being too boastful about breaking the law. Lil Wayne once said: Real Gz move in silence like lasagna. Sadly, this era feels like the opposite.
